A Love Language

As I was thinking about how we talk in this blog world, I have discovered many attributes that promote relationship in every aspect. When you are open with others, it breaks down barriers and opens doors to exposures of a real heart and that could lead to great risk. However, that doesn’t seem to stop or slow down your true heart’s reflections of Father. I see many who aren’t controlled by fear of what others think but only care about speaking love and truth that comes directly from Father. It is a real privilege to be able to share openly without huge vigilance or a burden to bite my tongue. I can’t even grasp how wonderful and fulfilling it feels to be real. Some may come and see how real and open I am on here and may never come back, but those of you who do come back and share in thoughts and reflections of the heart, says a lot to me. I want to encourage you to continue to be bold and be real, be you, for that is what I believe Father desires. So I move on with my head high and with a joy to share my reflections of a God-centered heart. Thank you all for being real and encouraging me, it really says a lot and I continually look forward to more real heart reflected conversations!

There is true freedom in being real with others! Not that everyone's going to share their deepest, darkest secrets, but I think that when we're honest with others about our struggles and about what we're working through, and when we find others who will allow us to be open, we all end up being edified in one way or another.

I've dealt with the same feelings that you mentioned... about some people perhaps reading something I've written and never coming back, but that's ok. I want to continue to be who I am, and not try to attract people to myself by being something I'm not! And I can tell you feel that way too.

It's truly wonderful to have people who do come back and participate in the ongoing discussion of living in freedom, and like you I'm thankful for those I've come into contact with who keep it real and who share in the mutual edification.

Speaking of Love Language - a great book in my Library is called 'The Five Love Languages' by Gary Chapman.

Five are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service and Physical Touch.

Each of has at least one we like which may not be the same as our spouse (or other people).

It is a great read - not that expensive..you may have it your library already. p.s. this lets you push your hubby's buttons (giggle)

I think we are born to be real. But, over the time we develop all kinds of masks to hide our own short comings. The more we cover, the more people call us 'matured'. Thats is the world we live in.
At some point, we burn out and reach the end of our rope, and then we finally find the love of God in Christ. We are thrilled and many of our barriers are broken. We have no problem expressing our inadequacy and sins to God or to others. As time goes, we get in to the 'religion', losing the sight of Jesus, sin ges its power from law, we start to learn to hide and cover, again we are called 'spiritually matured'.
Unless we get a revelation of Grace, we live that life of stress and burden till we die. But grace opens our heart to see the most wonderful truth that God do not condemn us on the basis of our sins the same way he do not accept us on the basis of our good works. That itself is enough for us to be real and act real.
Who has no sins in their life? Who has no weakness? Who has no struggles? Who has no questions? Who has no confusion?
Grace allows us to 'grow'. Law is for babies. it is 'milk'. Grace is the meat and it is for people to grow from infancy. It's wonderful! Being real is a sign of true growth.

Hey All!

Thanks for commenting! You guys have shown me what being real is all about and it makes me feel so blessed to know you all even if its not face to face. Someday I hope we can all meet, but this is something like what you were saying that is true freedom to be able to be authentic with each other as we live out our lives in Father. Thanks for breaking down your barriers to share what is real with me...

Alvin, I have that book! I actually got this post title from the book because the way we express ourselves to each other really shows me that it is a unique way of speaking in love and truth. It is a love language that is used by people who are real and open with each other in freedom. That is how I see it, and I actually didn't really focus on the title in my post as much as I wanted when I was writing it! So there you have it!

Love in Freedom, Nicole!
